Alabama District Circle K, the collegiate branch of the Kiwanis Club in Alabama, will hold its 58th Annual District Convention in Tuscaloosa on Feburary 26 – 28. Alabama District Circle K is made up of almost 400 members through chapters on fifteen campuses across Alabama, from universities to community colleges. Markedly different from the overall trend in civic clubs, Circle K is growing in Alabama with three new chapters within the past year and two new chapters in the previous year. Combined, our chapters do more than 5,000 hours of community service each year on their campuses and in their communities, with partners like March of Dimes, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, local shelters, and food banks.
District Convention is the premier event of the Circle K Year with prominent speakers, professional & social development workshops, chapter officer training, district elections, and a celebration banquet. This year, we expect the convention to have 100 – 150 attendees made up of Circle K chapter leaders to plan and prepare for their service.
Many of our members go on to graduate studies in a variety of fields. As one of the first-rate graduate programs in Alabama, we wish to offer you a spot in our Graduate Program Fair during the 58th Annual District Convention. The fair will take place 2:45 – 5:00 PM on February 27, 2016 in the Fergusion Center Grand Hall located on the University of Alabama’s campus. Participating programs will be provided one table, two chairs, and wireless internet connectivity. Additionally, the name of the program will be listed on the Alabama District website event page. The cost of participating in the graduate fair is $50.
